Integrating Polyvagal Theory into the Clinical Practice of Psychotherapy

Speaker: Vincentia Schroeter PhD

  Pre-registration is required.

Introduction to Polyvagal Theory, which is a new understanding of the ANS (autonomic nervous system) as defined by Stephen Porges.  Learn to identify on a body-level which of the three ANS states your client is in and clinical tools to respond optimally to each state. Demonstration and clinical case examples will be provided.

Vincentia Schroeter has a PhD in clinical psychology (1999) and practices in Escondido, seeing clients across the age span, including children, adults and couples. She is a Bioenergetic Analyst (1980), and finds that the new research in neuroscience blends very well with body-oriented psychotherapy. Her website is: vincentiaschroeterphd.com
