Beyond Prozac:  Nutrition and the Gut-Brain Connection for Mental Health

Speakers Natasha Pantti-Dulberg, LMFT and Karen Wolfe, MBBS(Syd), MA will give the mental health practitioner an understanding of the lifestyle factors that can directly impact depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders and help improve outcomes for clients.

Pre-registration is required.


The learning objectives include: 

1. Understanding the role of nutrition in mental health and the gut-brain connection.

2.  Discussing high yield, low risk wellness interventions for the most prevalent mental health conditions.

3.  Using a holistic approach that synthesizes the best of various schools of thought and the latest research.

4.  Understanding how to strengthen serotonin levels and improve cognitive functioning through natural means suh as exercise, nutrition, good sleep habit, light therapy and stress management.

5. Learning seven predictive wellness biomarkers of inflammation for mental health.
